September 19, 2025 The Eco Club and Department of Botany, Loyola College, Manvi, organized Fungi Fiesta on September 19, 2025, at Arupe Hall. The event was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Vinod Paul SJ (Principal), Mr. Khaseema Sab (Vice Principal), and Ms. Pratibha Chaitra (Coordinator). The Chief Guest & Resource Person, Mr. Bharath Kumar S, Research Scholar in Mycology, delivered an engaging talk on edible mushrooms—their diversity, cultivation techniques, and nutritional significance. In the afternoon, a hands-on workshop on mushroom cultivation was held in the Botany Lab, where students actively participated and gained practical knowledge. The programme successfully blended science with creativity, making it a memorable and enriching learning experience for Eco Club members, Botany students, and participants from other departments.
