A two-day Skill Enhancement Training Session was successfully organised on the 26th and 27th of September at Loyola Hall. The workshop aimed to equip students with essential professional, technical, and personal development skills that are crucial for academic growth and career readiness. The sessions were conducted by eminent resource persons who shared their expertise and practical knowledge with the students. Dr. Mona Mendonca led the session on Skill Development, Mr. Santosh Notagar trained students in Graphic Design using CorelDRAW, Miss Reema Jalihal introduced Digital Skills through Scratch Programming, and Dr. Hariprasad Shetty conducted a session on Wikipedia and Wikimedia Training. The workshop witnessed active participation from students across various streams including BCA, BA, B.Com, and B.Sc. Over the two days, participants gained valuable exposure to a wide range of soft skills and technical abilities. The soft skills component included communication (verbal and non-verbal), time management, anger management, confidence building, ethics, teamwork, adaptability, empathy, leadership, problem-solving, critical and creative thinking, decision-making, body language, self-hygiene, and emotional intelligence. On the technical side, students received hands-on training in tools such as Canva, ZENJI generation, CorelDRAW, Photoshop, AI tools, Wikipedia and Wikimedia editing, Scratch Programming, and other digital learning techniques. The training sessions provided students with a blend of theoretical understanding and practical exposure, encouraging interactive learning and creativity. The Skill Enhancement Training Session was highly appreciated by all participants for its engaging content and impactful delivery. The organisers expressed their sincere gratitude to all the resource persons for their valuable guidance and to the management of Loyola College for their continuous support and encouragement in making the workshop a successful and memorable event.
