Date: 14th – 20th October 2025 Venue: Dr. Annie Besant Scouts and Guides Training Centre, Doddaballapur A seven-day Natural Disaster Training Camp under the Yuva Apad Mitra Scheme was organized to create awareness and train youth volunteers to effectively respond during natural calamities. The camp included both theoretical and practical sessions on disaster management, first aid, rescue operations, and communication skills. Trainers from the NDRF Team, Fire and Emergency Services Department, and D. Devaraj Urs Medical College, Kolar, conducted sessions on CPR, first aid, fire safety, and rescue techniques. Participants also engaged in yoga, team-building activities, and cultural programmes. Loyola Degree College students actively participated in the camp, presenting a flash mob performance, assisting in food service, and performing a folk dance during the grand campfire event. The training concluded with a valedictory programme appreciating all participants and trainers. The camp successfully enhanced students’ knowledge, discipline, and preparedness to act as responsible youth volunteers during emergencies.
