  • Faculty Development Programme on Research Methodology

    Loyola College, Manvi successfully organized a Faculty Development Programme on “Research Methodology” on 25th February 2026, aimed at strengthening the research capabilities of faculty members and promoting academic excellence. The session was conducted by Melwyn S. Pinto, SJ, Associate Professor at the St. Joseph's University, Bangalore, School of Communications and Media Studies. The resource person shared valuable insights and practical guidance on various aspects of research, including research design, identifying research gaps, formulation of research problems, qualitative and quantitative research approaches, data collection techniques, ethical considerations in research, and strategies for academic publication. The programme provided faculty members with a deeper understanding of the research process and emphasized the importance of systematic inquiry and scholarly contribution in higher education. The session was highly interactive, allowing participants to clarify their queries and discuss research ideas. The programme concluded with a meaningful interaction session that encouraged faculty members to actively engage in research activities, enhance their academic publications, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge and academic excellence
