Loyola College, Manvi brought pride and recognition to the institution by securing remarkable success at the UPSTAGE Intercollegiate Theatre Competition held at St. Joseph's University, Bangalore on 6th and 7th March 2026. A team of 11 students from Loyola College enthusiastically participated in the prestigious theatre event and showcased their exceptional talent, creativity, and teamwork. The students delivered outstanding performances across multiple categories and achieved notable accolades. The team won First Prize in Short Play, Second Prize in Mime, and Fourth Place in Street Play, and with these achievements, Loyola College, Manvi proudly secured the Overall Championship of the competition. Adding to this success, Mainuddin was honored with the Best Actor Award for his powerful and impressive performance on stage. The team was guided and trained by Mr. Joel Joseph, Assistant Professor and Coordinator for Theatre at Loyola College, Manvi. Through his dedicated mentorship, systematic training, and artistic guidance, the students were able to perform with confidence and excellence, ultimately leading the team to this remarkable victory. This achievement highlights the vibrant cultural spirit of Loyola College, Manvi and reflects the institution’s commitment to nurturing creativity, talent, and holistic development among students. The success at UPSTAGE stands as a testament to the hard work, passion, and collaborative effort of the students and their mentor.
