  • International Women’s Day Celebration at Loyola College, Manvi

    Loyola College Manvi celebrated International Women’s Day on 13 March at Arrupe Hall. The programme was organized by the Student Council in collaboration with the Media Team to honour the achievements and contributions of women in the college community. As part of the celebration, three students were recognized for their outstanding achievements in different fields. Ms. Celine Priya was honoured for her excellence in sports, Ms. Rishitha for her outstanding performance in academics, and Ms. Srirakshitha, the Student Council President, for her dedicated service and leadership in the council. The programme also featured an inspiring address by Kashim Sab, the Vice Principal, who spoke about the significance of women in society. He emphasized that without women, life lacks perfection and completeness, highlighting their invaluable role in shaping families and communities. To make the event more engaging and joyful, various games and activities were conducted for students, encouraging participation and creating a lively atmosphere. The celebration concluded with an address by Fr Vinod Paul SJ, the Principal, who shared a heartfelt reflection about his mother. He expressed his deep gratitude for her constant support and guidance throughout his life, reminding everyone of the profound influence mothers and women have in shaping individuals and society. The event was a meaningful occasion that celebrated the strength, dedication, and contributions of women, leaving the participants inspired and appreciative of the important role women play in every sphere of life.
