  • Participation in Placement Drive at St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bangalore

    Final year B.Com students of Loyola College, Manvi participated in a placement drive organized by St. Joseph’s College of Commerce (SJCC), Bangalore. A total of 19 students took part in the programme, which aimed to provide exposure to the corporate recruitment process and career opportunities in various sectors. The students were accompanied and coordinated by Mr. Prashanth and Ms. Sandhya, faculty members of the Commerce Department. Accommodation for the participants was arranged at Aishirwad Center, Bangalore. The placement drive saw the participation of eight reputed companies, namely Disciples Abroad, Startek, Union City Bank, Muthoot Finance, Lenskart, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), AISECT Ltd., and HDB Financial Services. These organizations offered students an opportunity to explore career prospects in areas such as banking, finance, information technology, and corporate services. The programme was conducted over three days. On the first day, students attended training sessions and mock interviews designed to prepare them for the recruitment process. These sessions helped them understand interview techniques, improve communication skills, and build confidence. On the second day, the participating companies conducted face-to-face interviews with the students. Several students were shortlisted for the second round, reflecting their potential and readiness to meet industry expectations. On the third day, students were given the opportunity to explore the city of Bangalore, where they visited prominent landmarks such as Vidhana Soudha and Cubbon Park. This visit added a cultural and experiential dimension to the programme. Overall, the placement drive organized by St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bangalore proved to be a valuable and enriching experience for the students. It enhanced their understanding of corporate recruitment practices and strengthened their confidence, professional awareness, and employability skills.
