    Workshop on “Business Opportunities for Commerce Students under Startup Management – Use of Drones in Agriculture” The Department of Commerce, Loyola College, Manvi, successfully organized a One-Day Workshop on “Business Opportunities for Commerce Students under Startup Management – A Session on Use of Drones in the Agriculture Sector.” The program began with an introductory speech by Mr. Vitthal Gavade, Head of the Department of Commerce, who highlighted the importance of exploring modern opportunities for commerce graduates. The highlight of the workshop was the practical demonstration of drone applications in agriculture. Students not only witnessed how drones can be used for spraying, monitoring, and improving efficiency in farming but also had the exciting opportunity to try flying drones themselves under expert guidance. The technical session was conducted by our Resource Person, Mr. Bharathkumar, who explained the business potential of drone technology in agriculture. Additionally, Mr. Swamy also contributed with live demonstrations of advanced uses of drones in farming practices, which greatly enriched the learning experience. In his Presidential Address, Rev. Fr. Vinod Paul, Principal of Loyola College, encouraged the students to embrace innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship as part of their career journey. The workshop concluded successfully with active participation from students, faculty members, and dignitaries. The Main Event Coordinator, Mr. Gundappa, played a vital role in planning and executing the program smoothly. This workshop not only broadened students’ understanding of emerging opportunities in agri-business and technology but also gave them hands-on exposure to innovations shaping the future of commerce and entrepreneurship.
