The Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola was celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm at Loyola Institutions, Manvi on 31st July 2026 at Arrupe Hall under the theme "Walking in the Footsteps of St. Ignatius." The programme began with a prayer, invoking God's blessings upon the gathering, followed by the ceremonial inauguration of the Ignatian Tree, a symbolic representation of the core Jesuit values of Faith, Hope, Compassion, Discernment, Excellence, Justice, Humanity, Reflection, Courage, Gratitude, and Magis. The inauguration highlighted the institution's commitment to nurturing value-based education rooted in the Ignatian tradition. The programme was graced by Fr. Jeson Roy, OFM Cap., Assistant Headmaster, Sneha Jyothi Vidyalaya, Pothnal, as the Chief Guest, while Fr. Cyprian Tellis SJ, Superior, Loyola Institutions, Manvi, presided over the celebration. In his keynote address, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of character formation, moral integrity, compassion, and selfless service as essential qualities of responsible citizens. The Presidential Address reaffirmed the relevance of the Ignatian vision in shaping young minds committed to leadership, social responsibility, and the pursuit of excellence. The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, organizers, and participants for making the celebration meaningful and successful. The programme served as a significant platform for reinforcing the Jesuit ideals of "Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam" (For the Greater Glory of God) and inspired the Loyola community to live by the enduring values and vision of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
