An Awareness Programme on Voter Registration and the Importance of Voter ID Cards was conducted at Loyola College, Manvi on 17th September 2026 by officials from the Manvi Tahsildar’s Office. The programme was organized to create awareness among students about voter registration, the importance of exercising their democratic rights, and the procedure for obtaining a new Voter ID Card. The Tahsildar of Manvi and the Booth Level Officer (BLO) of Manvi, along with other officials from the Tahsildar’s Office, interacted with the students and explained the significance of voter registration. They provided detailed instructions on the procedure for applying for a new Voter ID Card, the documents required, and the steps to be followed by eligible students. The officials further informed the students that a special voter registration facility would be conducted at the college on the following day to assist eligible students in applying for new Voter ID Cards. Students were advised to bring the necessary documents to facilitate the registration process. The programme was attended by Rev. Fr. Vinod Paul, SJ, Principal of Loyola College, Manvi, Mr. Khasim Saab, Vice-Principal, along with faculty members and officials from the Manvi Tahsildar’s Office. The awareness session provided students with valuable information about voter registration and encouraged them to recognize the importance of their role and responsibility as citizens. The initiative served as a meaningful step towards strengthening voter awareness among young citizens and encouraging greater participation in the democratic process.
