Educational Tour to Sangapura Sculpture Centre The Department of History, under the Humanities Division of Loyola Degree College, Manvi, organized a one-day educational tour for the B.A. and B.Sc. students to the renowned Sangapura Sculpture Centre. The educational visit provided students with an enriching opportunity to explore the region’s heritage, sculpture, architecture, history, and cultural traditions. The students explored the historical monuments, intricate sculptures, and artistic features of the site with great curiosity and enthusiasm. The direct experience of observing historical art and architectural heritage enabled them to connect their classroom learning with real-world experiences, deepening their understanding of history and broadening their historical and cultural perspective. The tour went beyond being a routine excursion and served as a meaningful experiential learning opportunity. It reflected the educational approach of learning through observation and understanding through experience, while encouraging students to develop a greater appreciation for history, art, culture, and the preservation of heritage. The experience also provided an opportunity for students to strengthen camaraderie, discipline, cooperation, and teamwork. The Department of History expresses its sincere gratitude to Rev. Fr. Vinod Paul, SJ, Principal of Loyola Degree College, Manvi, for his valuable guidance, encouragement, and support in making the educational tour possible.
